An original mockumentary short, written to prove the studio can tell a whole story: one character, three acts, a setup and a payoff, in under a minute.
The craft
- 01Written as three acts of fifteen seconds: the routine, the reason, the call. Every line was written first and lands word for word.
- 02The same man, the same voice and the same booth across all three parts: the first part fixes Walt, and his face and voice carry into the next two.
- 03Documentary grammar throughout: the interview booth, the wide on the empty highway, the close-up when it rings.
