Privacy policy

This policy explains what Mockumentary LLC(“we”) collects through mockumentary.io and how we use it. Questions: hello@mockumentary.io.

What we collect

When you contact us: the email address you give us and anything else you choose to send (your name, company, budget, timeline, project description and a reference link), plus the page you sent it from and any campaign tags in the link you followed.

When you browse: aggregate, cookie-free page analytics and performance measurements (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights). They do not identify you personally and are not used for advertising.

How we use it

To reply to you, prepare a quote, deliver work you commission, keep basic business records, and understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Who processes it

The website and the inquiry store are hosted by Vercel. Inquiry emails go through our email providers (Google Workspace and, when enabled, Resend). A short notification without your personal details may be pushed to our phones through ntfy, and the inquiry is posted to the studio’s private Discord channel. These providers process data on our behalf.

Production material

Footage, photos and likenesses you send for a project are used only to make that project. They are processed on hardware we own and operate rather than a public generation service, are not used to train models for anyone else, and are deleted on request or as agreed in your contract. Please do not send confidential material through the website form; we arrange a private transfer after we talk.

Retention

We keep inquiries for up to 24 months so we can follow up on a conversation, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Client records are kept as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@mockumentary.io. Residents of California, the EU and the UK have these rights by law, and we honor them for everyone.
